Interior artscape digital print on rag paper, 3/10, signed and numbered. In this series, Alexis plays the artist, curator and collector, creating salons of his favorite pieces at different stages of his life that he would have enjoyed collecting if budget and availability were not an issue. These prints were based on larger scaled one of a kind oil paintings which sold out at his first solo show in NYC in 2014. Black wood frame with plexiglass.
Alexis Zambrano’s work investigates the different dimensions of our existence, physical planes versus the cosmic and spiritual; The conscious vs unconscious. Through his practice he references the works of old masters, architecture, contemporary art and nature; analyzing their purpose and evolution, these materialize through drawing, painting and sculpture in juxtaposed and altered settings. Originally Monterrey Mexico, Zambrano lives and works in New York since 2008.
