Nature in Modernism

Please join us Friday, February 24th from 6-9PM. Francine Fleischer’s photographs explore the contrasts found in nature from the East end of Long Island to cenotes in Mexico. Artes & Oficios create distincitive cabinetry out of beautifully figured indigenous woods from Costa Rica. Gabriela Valenzuela-Hirsch shares her exquisite one of a kind ceramic “nun” series and laurelwood sculptures. Hand made in Mexico City, Javier and Viktor Martinez have produced a lighting line which juxtaposes minimal, mid-century modern forms with natural gourds and found objects.
