Color photograph of the New York City skyline by celebrated and iconic photographer, Ruth Orkin, 1981. After a very full International career and several successful film collaborations, Orkin returned to New York City's Upper West Side, taking color shots of Central Park as seen through her apartment window. The resulting photographs were collected in two books, "A World Through My Window" (1978) and "More Pictures from My Window" (1983). Pink Sky is from this series, mounted on board with laminated edges. We purchased this photo at the Port Authority of New York's art auction in 1997.
